Our Story

Started Cutting in 2012

JFD Cutting started as Jet Flow Design LLC in 2012, operating out of a 3,000 sq ft shop in New Holland, PA with a single waterjet table. We knew the area needed a reliable, no-nonsense cutting service, and we set out to be exactly that.

In 2016 we moved to a larger shop in Denver, PA, added a second waterjet, and started offering secondary services like welding, saw work, and press brake forming. By 2020 we acquired a Trumpf 6kW laser and moved into our current 14,000 sq ft facility in East Earl, PA.

Today JFD Cutting offers waterjet cutting, laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, tapping, chamfering, sanding, and drafting services. We serve manufacturers across Lancaster County and beyond — but we're proudly local, and most of our customers pick up right from our shop.

There is nothing worse than being given a date to receive product and someone doesn't deliver. While we do occasionally have setbacks — which we'll bring to your attention — we value giving the most accurate lead times we can.

History

How We Got Here

December 2012

Jet Flow Design LLC Incorporated

The business was officially formed, starting with abrasive waterjet cutting as our sole service.

January 2013

First Shop in New Holland, PA

Set up our first 3,000 sq ft shop behind Keen Welding Supply on Rt. 23.

February 2014

Second Waterjet Acquired

Picked up a second, larger waterjet at the Elixir Public Auction — stored it at Goodville Industrial Center.

November 2016

Moved to Denver, PA

Expanded to a 6,000 sq ft shop with both waterjets running. Added welding, saw work, and press brake services.

March 2020

Added Laser Cutting

Purchased a Trumpf 6kW laser to expand our cutting capabilities.

September 2020

East Earl Facility

Moved into our current location at the Goodville Industrial Center — the same place we once stored our second waterjet.

March 2022

Josh Bloom Joins the Team

Josh brought welding and fabrication expertise, rounding out our full-service capabilities.

Now operating as JFD Cutting with 5 machines, a full fab shop, and a loyal customer base across the region.
